Hi, my name is Lorraine and I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer located in Las Vegas, Nevada, VEGAS BABY!

My style is Freestyle. All that means is that I'm not locked into any specific style. Freestyle is a free-flowing technique, it blends classic and romantic, posed yet relaxed candids, photojournalism, casual formals, details, and high fashion poses.

My guarantee to you.
Your pictures will not be boring You will have fun and laugh, a lot. I love to laugh. Your wedding is important to me and I go the extra mile to make my clients happy. Your wedding day is unique, and I will use all my skills and creativity to capture the essence of your day.

This blog follows both my personal and professional life, and features images from the weddings and families I photograph, and the places I travel. I want to give everyone a sense of who I am and what I'm all about.

Thanks for visiting and stop by often, and be sure to leave me a comment.

She Said Yes!!!

Posted on July 20, 2010

I got a call from Jason, who wanted someone to photograph him proposing to his girlfriend Marian. I said great. I love proposals. It’s almost as happy a time  for a couple as the wedding day, and what better way to capture the moment then with photographs. Jason and Maria are from Arizona, and Maria thought they were in Vegas to go to the Garth Brooks  concert. Well surprise Maria!!! Jason wanted to spring the big question while they were at dinner. They were staying at the beautiful Encore hotel in Las Vegas, and Jason had made reservations at the Switch restaurant in the Encore. The staff at the switch were so great they found me a plant to hide behind until Jason was ready.  I have to say  after this that I love texting. I don’t know if we could have pulled it off so smoothly with out it. Jason and I text back and fourth setting the moment up.  And then he got up from his chair, got down on his knees and opened the ring box that held the awesome ring. I jumped out from behind the plant with my camera and captured some great shots. Maria was totally surprised.  She said yes and the restaurant gave them a standing ovation. It was beautiful. I cried, of course!  I introduced myself and then proceeded to give them both a big hug. I’m a huger, what can I say?  They finished their meal and we spent the next hour taking some great photos in the Encore and Wynn hotels. As you can see they were the cutest couple and Maria couldn’t take her eyes off her ring the whole time. I had soooo much fun with them, I hated to leave them.  I received one of  the nicest complements from them, Jason told me Maria said it was like having a having a girlfriend along. Thanks Maria. I’ll add Maria’s wonderful review below their photos.

Maria’s Review:

My fiancee hired Lorraine to photograph our engagement, and I’m so thrilled he did! I think she was just as excited at the engagement as I was and, though we had never met, it was almost like having one of my girlfriends there to share the moment with. She captured the entire proposal and then took us all over Encore in Las Vegas for an engagement photo op! She was full of wonderfully creative poses and ideas, but was never too busy to stop and join me in a celebratory moment. The pictures she took were incredible, and I am so thankful to have those moments captured forever. She was on time (even hiding behind a bush behind me, waiting to jump out the moment my fiancee proposed!) and was wonderfully patient while my husband-to-be and I finished our dinner after he proposed. Each time I look through the pictures I am thrilled all over again at Lorraine’s amazing ability to capture all of the different emotions and the excitement we were feeling. Because of her warm personality and amazing skills with a camera, I would highly recommend Lorraine to anyone looking for a photographer to capture their special moments!

Bridget and Hank Engagement Session

Posted on June 29, 2010

Bridget and Hank were so much fun. And Hank is such a sweetheart, he called me a couple of days before their session saying he wanted to rent a limo for our session. I said great, who doesn’t like riding in a limo. Makes me feel important even though I’m not. Then he call me again the day before our shoot and tells me that there is a close family friend he wants to include in the photos. I said Ok, the more the merrier, Right. But then I realized he’s not talking about a person but about a dog, trooper. I love dogs, so I was all for it. He did great, but I think he was over the whole picture thing when he realized he had to have a bath first. Thanks Troop for being a trooper.  If you want to see all the photos from the session check out the video at the bottom. Enjoy.

This is my favorite photo from the session.
